Spam, spam, some say it comes in a can.

Whats wrong with spam?

To most it is usually regaurded as undesireable form of posting on a message board, done so for the pure purpose of flaming, creating controversy or purposely done so in order to create an administrative headache.

Why is there so much spam here?

Firstly, it is not spam, it is enjoyment in which many members have come to take part in, and as a result receive record posts, never seen before in any (possibly worldwide) forum or message board through the high post counts in which they are able to acheive.

Why would someone want to spam here?

Again, for the personal pleasure in which they are able to acheive as well as the fact that many of the topics here are not based on the condition that other members have posted in them to post in a P2P posting style.

Some people must be bored!

On the contrary, no, it is quite the opposite, the unique forum feature enabled here by Im' not telling how, or going into the details of how to allows the ability to spam or make rapid postings, viewed as double posting+++. Some people like to play games for hours on end clicking away and some others enjoy to spam.
